Our Goal
To empower communities to conserve the environment in Knenya through youth-led initiative and also promote agroforestry by planting trees (especially fruit trees) across the countryto enhance food security in line with SDG 2:
“End hunger, improve nutrition, and promote sustainable agriculture.”

Mazingira Green Hub is a youth-led organization in Nairobi, Kenya, founded in 2020. We work to restore degraded environments, improve food security, and empower communities through nature-based solutions.
Our focus is on agroecology, tree planting, and eco-education. We’ve grown and distributed over 10,000 tree seedlings, including fruit trees like mango, lemon, and avocado, supporting nutrition, reforestation, and local livelihoods.
Through our School as an Action Learning Center program, we’ve reached 5,000+ students, teaching regenerative farming, composting, and climate leadership while inspiring young environmental advocates.

At Mazingira Green Hub, regeneration means restoring both nature and lives. We help communities reconnect with nature, revive knowledge, and build resilience by empowering youth, women, and local leaders to drive lasting, inclusive solutions.
TOOLS AND SOLUTIONS: We promote composting, intercropping, water harvesting, and agroforestry while supporting youth to develop climate-smart solutions through AIRS.
PARTICIPATION / CONNECTION: We partner with schools, farmers, women, and youth groups, ensuring communities shape our projects and drive lasting change.
REAL-WORLD COMMUNITY: We work in villages, schools, and settlements, partnering with families, teachers, and youth to create lasting, community-owned solutions.
CLIMATE LEADERSHIP: At Mazingira, youth lead the climate movement, gaining skills and opportunities to plant trees, manage gardens, and drive community campaigns.
