Who We Are
Mazingira Green Hub (MGH) is a youth-led community-based organization founded in 2024 and based at Uhuru Camp in Nairobi. We empower communities through sustainable agriculture, environmental conservation, climate action, and youth entrepreneurship to promote social, economic, and environmental transformation.
At MGH, we believe change starts with informed communities. By engaging youth, schools, and farmers, we create practical solutions that restore the environment, support livelihoods, and inspire the next generation of environmental leaders across Kenya.

Our Trees
We grow healthy tree seedlings for agroforestry, food production, and climate restoration. We have over 10,000 trees in our nursery ready to support reforestation, school greening, and sustainable farming initiatives.

OUR INITIATIVES
At Mazingira Green Hub, our initiatives are designed to promote environmental stewardship, climate resilience, and community empowerment. We take a practical, youth-driven approach, turning ideas into action through the following key programs:
Schools & Communities as an Action Center
Our School as an Action Learning Center program turns schools into vibrant environmental hubs that foster practical knowledge, youth leadership, and ecological responsibility. Through this initiative, we provide learners with hands-on experiences that connect classroom learning to real-world environmental challenges and solutions.
We involve learners in climate education, composting, waste management, tree planting, and sustainable farming, giving them opportunities to practice green skills that directly benefit their schools and communities. So far, we’ve partnered with 20+ schools, reaching over 5,000 learners across Kenya, and creating ripple effects that extend beyond the school gates.
The program integrates agroecology, circular economy principles, and eco-clubs to raise environmental awareness, empower youth, and promote sustainability through climate advocacy and eco-innovation. By combining education with action, we nurture a generation of environmentally conscious leaders who are equipped to build resilient communities and contribute to a greener future.
